The Edmonds Beacon covered my entry in the national competition today!

Edmonds resident and composer, Keva Vaughan-McMorrow, was extremely excited to receive a commission from the Washington State Music Teachers.  Her octet, Evening River Echoes, was performed in Olympia by members of the Cascade Symphony, with whom she has played piano and celeste for the past 20 years.

The audience of music teachers and professors present from around the state, enthusiastically received the world premiere in a spontaneous ovation.
